What does a family do when the world comes to a crashing halt and it feels like it can’t breathe? Well, apparently, it starts running!
For seven years A Run for Liane team has raised funds for the Cancer Genetics Program at the Hospital for Sick Children. Most team participants run or walk the 5K, although there are more half and full marathoners each year. The team has raised over $255,000 to date, The next race is September 26, 2010. To reach a total of $300,000, the team’s goal is to raise about $45,000 this year. For the latest information, see the August 2010 newsletter.
